Volunteer with AIM

The Adaptive and Inclusive Movement (AIM) Initiative provides movement opportunities for disabled and neurodiverse students. The AIM Initiative is recruiting volunteers to assist with adaptive dance classes as one on one support for students or floaters in the classroom. Our current students range in age from 5-30+ and are grouped into the following age ranges: Elementary, and Teen/Young Adult.

Here’s what to expect as a AIM adaptive dance volunteer:

● Volunteers dance and move with our students, facilitated by a teacher

● Assist the teacher as needed

● Provide support unique to the student to make sure each student is safe and engaged

● Experience working with people with disabilities and neurodiversity is beneficial, not required

● Have fun being a buddy to a dancer!

We currently have the following opportunities to volunteer:

Our Current Weekly Classes Schedule Includes:

  • Saturdays from 12:15-1:15 PM (Ages 5-12)

  • Saturdays from 1:25-2:25 PM (Ages 12-30)

  • Sundays from 3:30-4:30 PM (Ages 12-30)

  • Sundays from 4:45-5:45 PM (Ages 12-30)

Volunteers are expected to show up a few minutes early and stay a few minutes after for set up & clean up.

We also have various other opportunities to help with special events as the year progresses!
